Research congress and preconference merge
The
name has been changed and the congress is bigger and better than
ever! So many abstracts were submitted for the 17th International
Nursing Research Congress and the 4th Evidence-Based Nursing Practice
Preconference that it was decided to merge the two events into
one. The result is a four-day conference called the 17th
International Nursing Research Congress Focusing on Evidence-Based
Practice, which will be held July 17-22, 2006, at the Le Sheraton
Centre in Montréal, Québec, Canada. The theme for
the merged event is “Advancing knowledge, community and
evidence-based practice globally through collaboration.”
More than 900 original research and evidence-based nursing practice
projects will be presented. Keynote
speakers for the plenary sessions include Alba DiCenso, Margaret
Harrison, Beth Collins Sharp, David Thompson and Doris Grinspun.
On Monday and Tuesday, July 17-18, four full-day workshops
focusing on evidence-based nursing will be presented by Joanna
Briggs Institute (JBI), the Cochrane Qualitative Methods Group,
Registered Nurse Association of Ontario (RNAO) and the Center
for Advancement of Evidence-Based Practice at Arizona State University
(ASU).
